The Challenge/Opportunity:

Blight, graffiti, illegal dumping, and poorly maintained infrastructure are all issues hurting our quality of life. We need better coordination to clean up Albany.

SOLUTION

• Create a Clean City Cabinet to coordinate efforts across agencies, businesses, and communities.

• Focus on cleaning public spaces and addressing aging infrastructure in underserved neighborhoods.

• Pursue federal and state funding to improve environmental resilience.

• Promote recycling and waste reduction.

LONG TERM GOAL

• - Work with residents and local organizations to meet Albany’s environmental goals and reduce our carbon footprint.

• - Create a cleaner Albany for residents to enjoy, increasing community engagement through third spaces.
